The DVRace advantage can be found in the ability to quickly access race footage across a range of meetings and it’s flexibility of its event and transaction types. With DVRace, event types are totally configurable by the user. For example, interference incident in a race could have the horse as the primary event, and the jockey as a qualifier, location as the second qualifier, and then the interference type as another qualifier (eg. whip, bump), etc.

Once the event and qualifier structure is defined it can be re-used as a template for all races. Events can be easily logged in real time during the race if preferred, (with or without digital video being captured at the same time), or after the race, either capturing the video at the same time or using pre captured video.

DVRace has the option of importing of exporting data from 3rd
party applications, either during or after the races, subject to the capabilities of the other application. For importing, it could be from a real time event logging programs sourced from a central service or even a PDA. This eliminates the need to re-enter data and all you need to do is a video capture and timecode align to get instant results. DVRace In Detail

DVRace Vision Catalogue Database

Based on our vast experience and understanding of the sport technology issues, Prowess has specifically developed a comprehensive, exclusive and unique Race Vision Cataloging system that will provide the complete, secured historical archive that will allow any user to reference any previously logged incident and associated footage with minimal effort.

The main advantage will be the ability to link multiple edited video highlights that have been archived to a recorded incident. Searching and queries will be possible by various methods including horse, jockey, dates, trainer, type and more….. The database will be secured (password protected) and available to any authorised user across the local network.

DVR-AutoCap - Digital Video Auto Capture Module

This PC based module has similar functionality to a typical VCR for an unattended recording session which will allows you to program the weekend’s races in advance and then capture the race footage in a high quality format (MPEG or DV) for immediate usage.

Simply program the race times set for broadcast and the utility will activate and record based on the settings. All race footage would be recorded in separate, readily accessible files that are logically named.

If any races were not recorded successfully for some reason, it is a simple task to re-record the footage from VHS tape.

Incident Logging Module

This is the module that would be used to timecode record incidents, observations, highlights, protest as required.

It is used to easily log the incidents by the custom keyboard, mouse and optionally use our exclusive StatsSpeak utility that allows voice activated logging.

Events are easily recorded against the race footage at specified video timecode with the details of time and horse or jockeys involved. If desirable, free form notes can be commentated into the notepad if a complete record is required of the steward/official formal comments.

Each recorded event is a discrete segment of footage that can be replay or edited for further analysis.

Incident Analysis, Review & Archiving Tools

Video Analyser

The Video Analyser is a powerful yet easy to use video analysis and editing tool allowing stewards and officials to efficiently view the edits.

It may be networked so that any compressed race footage can be accessed on a PC located elsewhere from a configured workstation remotely.

Alternatively, if installed on a suitable notebook, stewards or officials may take the analyser off-site, to the track or home to scrutinize the race footage in a more efficient and convenient fashion. This module will allow the useful capability to record additional events and comments against the incidents that can be consolidated with the central database.

Sharpeye Detailed Analysis

Should the footage require frame by frame analysis, ProWess can utilize a complete but cost effective and simple to use sports analysis package that is similar to the packages currently available for use in professional and elite sport.
